The long awaited interview with the Empress Silver had come at a spur
of the moment timing. She was in the middle of redecorating,
developing, and helping out a customer make sure a product worked
right.
She warned right off when she invited me she was a furniture
junkie. She continued by saying that some of her favorite rooms most
wouldn't be able to load.
When the room loads there is a very out of place tv on the wall.
She was testing it to make sure it worked for one of her customers.
Testing your products is a sign of a good developer. She says she's
even redone dresses, because of the way they would disappear in the
lights. Her reasoning behind this is "it is all up to the person who
buys it in the end how happy they are with the product, not what we
think.
She goes on to say that she gets called crazy a lot for some of the
things she does. Among those things are giving away all her textures,
teaching for free, and promoting other developers that do not otherwise
have the funds to get going.
Her reasoning? "cause man you can keep everything to yourself but
in the end the only one who will be singing your praises is yourself"
This is the main reasoning behind her generous and giving nature from
all I had heard. If you give unselfishly to others it always comes back
around in some form or another.
We talked for a long time on the state of things in this realm and
others. She left me with tons of food for thought. Towards the end of
the interview we got down to business and I asked her more specific
questions about her developing.
What is she working on now?
About a hundred things in her head, she laughs, than takes me to a
room in progress. The room was huge. The textures amazingly detailed,
and a gorgeous pool in the center. She is also going to be working on
more clothing soon.
What was her first product she developed?
First she took me to a vampire styled room. It still amazed me that
even as one of her first rooms the attention to detail was present.
Next room was her very first. It was a rather bright, but elegant
elevator. I seriously had the urge to jump up and down and laugh. It
was cozy and fun. Perfect for a easy to load small chat.
What is her favorite product?
She has many. Her favorites change everyday, but she tells me that
each one is her favorite for many different reasons. One of them was a
room she made for a someone she loved a great deal. She poured her
heart into it. Another was a cabin in the snow. It was for a very dear
friend that never lived long enough to see it. For obvious reason she
keeps this one as a favorite.
This is where we ended the interview as my time did not allow for
more. I left the conversation feeling I had gain a wonderful, eye
opening insight to the workings of our beloved Empress. For anyone
wanting a product made with heart and hard work, the Empress Silver (
VardaSilverRaven) is the catalog to check out.
